deskutils/bijiben: Import backport in tree Import upstream commit 01ccae2ccb640b2d33fd09c3dfb7d605830b5b0f locally as Gnome's GitLab instance no longer allows fetching commits anonymously (at least for this project). This approach is also fragile in general as GitLab instances tends to shuffle around metadata causing checksums to fail frequently. Approved by: blanket5a86a555fb

www/webkit2-gtk: bump consumer PORTREVISIONs after port consolidation With hat: gnome PR: 275914bc2e3ed90b
www/webkit2-gtk: update to 2.46.5 Changelog: https://github.com/WebKit/WebKit/blob/webkitgtk-2.46.5/Source/WebKit/gtk/NEWS Now consolidated into one port with flavours since the codebase is the same, just linked with different libraries resulting in different SONAMEs and APIs. SONAMEs/flavours: * GTK3 + libsoup = libwebkit2gtk-4.0 (40) * GTK3 + libsoup3 = libwebkit2gtk-4.1 (41) * GTK4 + libsoup3 = libwebkitgtk-6.0 (60) Despite upstream's recommendation to use clang for better skia optimisation, this port now USE_GCC due to extensive std::pair copy constructor use that is not trivial to continue patching to stay working with our libc++ version 1 ABI. Remove WWW entries moved into port Makefiles Commit b7f05445c00f has added WWW entries to port Makefiles based on WWW: lines in pkg-descr files. This commit removes the WWW: lines of moved-over URLs from these pkg-descr files. Approved by: portmgr (tcberner)fb16dfecae
Add WWW entries to port Makefiles It has been common practice to have one or more URLs at the end of the ports' pkg-descr files, one per line and prefixed with "WWW:". These URLs should point at a project website or other relevant resources. Access to these URLs required processing of the pkg-descr files, and they have often become stale over time. If more than one such URL was present in a pkg-descr file, only the first one was tarnsfered into the port INDEX, but for many ports only the last line did contain the port specific URL to further information. There have been several proposals to make a project URL available as a macro in the ports' Makefiles, over time. This commit implements such a proposal and moves one of the WWW: entries of each pkg-descr file into the respective port's Makefile. A heuristic attempts to identify the most relevant URL in case there is more than one WWW: entry in some pkg-descr file. URLs that are not moved into the Makefile are prefixed with "See also:" instead of "WWW:" in the pkg-descr files in order to preserve them. There are 1256 ports that had no WWW: entries in pkg-descr files. These ports will not be touched in this commit. The portlint port has been adjusted to expect a WWW entry in each port Makefile, and to flag any remaining "WWW:" lines in pkg-descr files as deprecated. Approved by: portmgr (tcberner)b7f05445c0

deskutils/bijiben: Add generated biji-marshalers.h to libbiji dependency sources (D29353) The meson manual states that > Each target that depends on a generated header should add that > header to it's sources, as seen above with libfoo and myexe. This > is because there is no way for Meson or the backend to know that > myexe depends on foo.h just because libfoo does, it could be a > private header. Since biji-marshalers.h is included by the libbiji public header libbiji.h, it must be added as a source to all targets that depend on libbiji. This can be done by adding it to the sources of libbiji_dep. This should unbreak the build with samurai. https://github.com/michaelforney/samurai/issues/70 PR: 25467820bc3c521a

The FreeBSD GNOME team proudly presents GNOME 3.14 and Cinnamon 2.2. Gnome 3.14.1 and Cinnamon 2.2.16 are supported on FreeBSD 9.3-RELEASE and up.
This commit removes the old GNOME 2 desktop, bindings and some ports that
can't be compiled. A few ports where updated to more recent versions to
allow them to compile with this update.
Apart from updating ports to newer versions
GDM is more integrated with gnome-shell now, and handles several things for
the GNOME desktop such as screen locking. If you want to use GNOME 3 via
startx, you will have to add your own lock screen/screensaver. For example xscreensaver
can be used for sessions started without GDM.
Shell Extensions can be installed via https://extensions.gnome.org/ , we have
ported a few that can't be installed via this way.
The old gnome-utils and gnome-games ports where split up into single ports
and where converted to meta-ports.
gnome-terminal requires a UTF-8 locale to run, gdm handles this already, but
if you use startx you need to do this yourself.
Upgrade instructions:
Delete the old and conflicting packages:
# pkg delete clutter gnome-utils gnome-panel gnome-keyring vala-vapigen \
guile gcalctool gnome-media libgnomekbd
# pkg delete gnome-screensaver gnome-applets bug-buddy evolution-exchange \
evolution-webcal gnome-system-tools seahorse-plugins gnome-control-center
For package users the following lines will be enough:
# pkg upgrade
# pkg install gnome3
For ports users should do the following:
# portmaster -a
# portmaster x11/gnome3
We are currently aware of two issues. The first issue is a bug in the
file monitoring code in the glib20 port. This bug causes glib programs
to crash when files in a monitored directory are added or removed.
Upstream is aware of the problem, but since the problem is quite complex
there is no solution yet. This problem isn't restricted to BSD.
The second issue is that on certain video cards totem will display a
purple/pink overlay on the video. It not clear yet where the issues
comes from.
Major thanks goes to Gustau Perez for being a driving force behind getting
GNOME 3 up to speed again. Also thanks to Antoine Brodin for running the exp-runs.
