devel/performance: mark as broken on aarch64 Reported by: linimon3f31a23069
Return theraven's ports to the pool after safekeeping his commit bit.7fc8f970bb
Move Objective-C ports to the v2 GNUstep ABI. * Bump the LLVM revision used for GNUstep to 7, the minimum to support the new ABI. * GNUstep-back does not work with lld, so mark it to use Gold (BFD LD doesn't seem able to link Objective-C things). * Turn off some annoying debug logs in GNUstep back, which generate several messages per second when you move the mouse. These should never have been enabled in a release build anyway. * Downgrade Cenon to 4.0.2. This was the last version to actually work with GNUstep (the later ones use XCode >= 5 .xib files, which GNUstep can't parse). * Update gorm to git head. The current release doesn't work with the new Objective-C ABI, but -head has the patches to fix it. * Update PikoPixel and add it to the gnustep-app meta-package. * Update the three core GNUstep packages to the latest release. * Update gnumail and pantomime to the latest release and fix a linking error with the new ABI. * Update GNUstep FTP to the latest version. Update Objective-C LLVM version to 6.0. Fixes aarch64 build. Reduces depends on obsolete LLVM 4.0. PR: 230116 Submitted by: mikael.urankar@gmail.com Approved by: theraven (prior version) Sponsored by: DARPA, AFRL3a34ffa58f

Mark as broken on armv7. This looks like some kind of configuration error. Approved by: portmgr (tier-2 blanket)d3f95d3cc5
Fix configure options for gnustep-make We were not setting the flag to select the GNUstep ABI, so were defaulting to using the GCC-compatible version, which was likely to trigger a lot of subtle bugs. This was noticed when C++ exceptions thrown through Objective-C stack frames caused segfaults.f9197640d9
Update GNUstep core libraries. Update the default Objective-C compiler. Fix various build failures in GNUstep ports from newer versions of the GNUstep core libraries and from changes to GNUstep Make. Update various ports that use GNUstep and bump the portrevision of the ones that haven't had a new release.31e0b9f12c
Make all GNUstep ports install into the System domain so that the Local domain is available for stuff built from source. Some ports were already installing in the System domain, for these just remove the Makefile lines explicitly specifying the install domain. The rest are installed in the Local domain, remove any overrides, update their pkg-plists and any explicit paths in the Makefiles and then bump port revision. Update GNUstep ports to their latest versions. Also fix a few bits of generic infrastructure along the way. Approved by: bapt (mentor) Differential Revision: https://reviews.freebsd.org/D2961b6546ca2ca
Convert bsd.gnustep.mk to USES=gnustep Simplify gnustep ports Hook into the regular ports framework: - LIB_DEPENDS for library dependencies - Use regular USE_LDCONFIG Reuse USES=objc (automatic) USE_GNUSTEP is now a macro to set the dependencies and build feature needed. Accepted arguments: back base build gui Merge deskutils/preferencepanes into deskutils/systempreferences06f79b66f2
Cleanup plist6f2e3d424c
Remove duplicate line from plist Reported by: pkg developer modeb46b5f4cac
Fix the pkg-plist for performance. Update sqlclient to the latest version.adfb7266aa
Add NO_STAGE all over the place in preparation for the staging support (cat: devel part 3)580a778a16
Update to latest GNUstep core libraries. Update dependent packages with more recent releases. Remove old and bit-rotted ones. Switch to using clang 3.3 and libobjc2 1.7 by default, so modern Objective-C features work out of the box and remove a lot of configurable options for sub-optimal (and, often, unsupported / deprecated upstream) configurations. Take maintainership of GNUstep-related ports. Several of the ports left in have scary warnings which mean that they are likely broken in lots of cases. Future commits will fix them. This library is a collection of classes intended to be used to help improve the performance of GNUstep and Cocoa applications. The scope of the library is therefore - 1. Subclasses of standard Cocoa classes which are optimised for particular uses. 2. Classes to perform tasks which can improve application performance by mechanisms not covered by existing classes. 3. Classes to monitor/analyse performance issues so you can tell what needs to be optimised.024d2d1389
