Remove WWW entries moved into port Makefiles Commit b7f05445c00f has added WWW entries to port Makefiles based on WWW: lines in pkg-descr files. This commit removes the WWW: lines of moved-over URLs from these pkg-descr files. Approved by: portmgr (tcberner)fb16dfecae
Add WWW entries to port Makefiles It has been common practice to have one or more URLs at the end of the ports' pkg-descr files, one per line and prefixed with "WWW:". These URLs should point at a project website or other relevant resources. Access to these URLs required processing of the pkg-descr files, and they have often become stale over time. If more than one such URL was present in a pkg-descr file, only the first one was tarnsfered into the port INDEX, but for many ports only the last line did contain the port specific URL to further information. There have been several proposals to make a project URL available as a macro in the ports' Makefiles, over time. This commit implements such a proposal and moves one of the WWW: entries of each pkg-descr file into the respective port's Makefile. A heuristic attempts to identify the most relevant URL in case there is more than one WWW: entry in some pkg-descr file. URLs that are not moved into the Makefile are prefixed with "See also:" instead of "WWW:" in the pkg-descr files in order to preserve them. There are 1256 ports that had no WWW: entries in pkg-descr files. These ports will not be touched in this commit. The portlint port has been adjusted to expect a WWW entry in each port Makefile, and to flag any remaining "WWW:" lines in pkg-descr files as deprecated. Approved by: portmgr (tcberner)b7f05445c0

PyQt: Update sip to 6.5.0, reintroduce sip4 and simplify PyQt framework. SIP: As mentioned in the update from sip to sip5, this is a transitional version to remove what is deprecated in sip4. Sip6 completely removes the deprecated parts. Unfortunately, some ports — mostly cura things — can not use sip6, so we reintroduce sip4. PyQt: At the same time, we took the opportunity to simplify PyQT and propose only one package as for devel/pyside2. */py-qt5-* have been merged — excepted chart, networkauth and webengine — into devel/py-qt5-pyqt. This allows us to be in adequacy with the packages that the author of these libraries proposes, namely: PyQt - devel/py-qt5-pyqt PyQt-Charts - x11-toolkits/py-qt5-chart PyQt-NetworkAuth – net/py-qt5-networkauth PyQt-WebEngine – www/py-qt5-webengine SIP – devel/py-sip py-sip - devel/py-qt5-sip PyQt-builder - devel/py-qtbuilder Qscintilla - devel/py-qt5-qscintilla2 Reviewed by: diizzy, kde Tested by: kai, rhurlin, arrowd, madpilot Approved by: makc, tcberner, kde Differential Revision: https://reviews.freebsd.org/D33237 Exp-run by: antoine4f0a5e1540

PyQt5: Update PyQt5 to 5.15.3, QScintilla2 to 2.12.0, py-qtbuilder to 1.9.0 * PyQt5: update to 5.15.3 This is a minor feature and bug-fix release. There are corresponding releases of the other PyQt5-related packages. - Added the missing QImage.setAlphaChannel(). - Support for the QtNetworkAuth library has been moved to a separate PyQtNetworkAuth package. - Wheels no longer bundle the corresponding Qt libraries and instead automatically install them from an external wheel. * QScintilla2: update to 2.12.0 This adds support for Qt6 and removes support for Qt4. - Change the new distname (again)i due to a conflict - Use the new sip-build system * devel/py-qtbuilder: update to 1.9.0 * devel/py-sip: fix flavor for sip-distinfo PR: 253865 Exp-run by: antoine108f234f7f

Update PyQt5 to 5.15.2, sip to 5.5.0, py-qtbuilder to 1.6.0 and py-qt5-sip to 12.8.1 PR: 251764 Exp-run by: antoineecb5b21c9e
Update Qt/PySide2 to 5.15.2 / PyQt to 5.15.1 / SIP to 5.4.0 This commit combines several updates.
- Update Qt to 5.12.2
- Update PyQt to 5.15.1
- Since PySide 5.15.1 is broken with Qt 5.15.2, so PySide and Shiboken are also updated to 5.15.2.
- Update sip to 5.4.0
SIP is a collection of tools to create Python bindings for C and C++ libraries and used by PyQt and wxPython. There are some changes with sip5 [1]:
- python 3.5+ is required
- sip drops support of old deprecated methods as sipdistutils & cie.
- this version breaks also PyQt5 extension ABI. SIP files will be installed in ${PYTHON_SITELIBDIR}/PyQt${_PYQT_VERSION}/bindings
- some ports will use the new pyqtbuilder package with the pyproject.toml setup. Instead if the project have a setup.py, you should use sip-build to build it.
- if a port needs sip, it should also needs pysip. BTW, py-qt5-core requires pysip, so that should be enough for PyQt packages.
List of ports impacted by this change. Most of the patches have been integrated or are in the process of being integrated upstream:
- devel/libsavitar
- graphics/py-python-poppler-qt5
- net-im/scudcloud
- net/libarcus
- print/py-frescobaldi
- science/py-veusz
- graphics/qgis and graphics/qgis-ltr
- deskutils/calibre
A special note regarding calibre. New versions require sip>=5, we update it to the latest version (thanks to madpilot@)
science/scidavis will remove the PyQt binding soon and there is no patch planned, so we remove the python option (ok makc@)
While here, convert some ports to USE_PYQT (cad/cura, cad/uranium, devel/eric6, ...)
Thanks to tcberner and adridg!
