Remove WWW entries moved into port Makefiles Commit b7f05445c00f has added WWW entries to port Makefiles based on WWW: lines in pkg-descr files. This commit removes the WWW: lines of moved-over URLs from these pkg-descr files. Approved by: portmgr (tcberner)fb16dfecae
Add WWW entries to port Makefiles It has been common practice to have one or more URLs at the end of the ports' pkg-descr files, one per line and prefixed with "WWW:". These URLs should point at a project website or other relevant resources. Access to these URLs required processing of the pkg-descr files, and they have often become stale over time. If more than one such URL was present in a pkg-descr file, only the first one was tarnsfered into the port INDEX, but for many ports only the last line did contain the port specific URL to further information. There have been several proposals to make a project URL available as a macro in the ports' Makefiles, over time. This commit implements such a proposal and moves one of the WWW: entries of each pkg-descr file into the respective port's Makefile. A heuristic attempts to identify the most relevant URL in case there is more than one WWW: entry in some pkg-descr file. URLs that are not moved into the Makefile are prefixed with "See also:" instead of "WWW:" in the pkg-descr files in order to preserve them. There are 1256 ports that had no WWW: entries in pkg-descr files. These ports will not be touched in this commit. The portlint port has been adjusted to expect a WWW entry in each port Makefile, and to flag any remaining "WWW:" lines in pkg-descr files as deprecated. Approved by: portmgr (tcberner)b7f05445c0

Install texinfo files (GNU info) into ${PREFIX}/share/info
After a discussion on the mailing list on moving manpages to
${PREFIX}/share/man for consistency with base where it is
installed in usr/share/man, it appeared the same should happen
to GNU info files which were installed under share in base and
not in ports.
Now texinfo is not in base on any of the supported version of FreeBSD
it is possible to proceed to this move and it is easier to do than
the manpage change.
Other benefit than consistency are less patching: all build tools but
cmake are expecting info files to be under share/info and cmake (patched here)
was having an exception for BSD so the patch makes FreeBSD case less
specific for them

Sponsored by: Absolight8d6597e0bbMake print/ghostscript9-agpl-base the default Ghostscript port. Upstream changed the license to the AGPL 3 in version 9.07 so print/ghostscript9-base is stuck at 9.06 which is almost 4 years old now. Fix the logic in Uses/ghostscript.mk so "agpl" is treated as a real version on its own instead of as a variant of other versions. Fix print/ghostscript9-agpl-base to install eps2write. Update math/asymptote to 2.37 to support newer Ghostscript. PR: 208159 Exp-run by: antoine Approved by: portmgr (antoine)77760fcb63
- Split ghostscript into X11-independent and -dependent parts:
* print/ghostscript{7,8,9,9-agpl}-base
Installs Ghostscript binary, libgs, and related files.
These ports do not depend on X11 libraries (i.e. x11* devices
are not available). USES=ghostscript will set dependency on
one of them depending on GHOSTSCRIPT_DEFAULT.
The default device is set to "display" or "bbox".
* print/ghostscript{7,8,9,9-agpl}-x11
Installs a shared library which provides X11 support to
the installed Ghostscript binaries. x11* devices will be
enabled when the library is available.
This depends on *-base (RUN_DEPENDS). USES=ghostscript:x11
will set dependency on one of them.
- Fix integer overflow reported as CVE-2015-3228.
- Update Uses/ghostscript.mk:
* Add x11 keyword. nox11 keyword is now obsolete.
* Use packagename in *_DEPENDS line to prevent relationship between
-base and -x11 packages from being broken.
- Fix x11/nox11 keyword and bump PORTREVISION in ports using
USES=ghostscript to update dependency of pre-compiled packages.27470e1676Convert code in bsd.port.mk for USE_GHOSTSCRIPT* to USES=ghostscript. converters/libiconv: - Remove const qualifier from iconv(3) to match POSIX: http://pubs.opengroup.org/onlinepubs/9699919799/functions/iconv.html - Patch iconv.h to expose more GNU extensions when LIBICONV_PLUG is defined because the base system iconv supports these extensions too. Add/remove patches to/from ports to call iconv with non-const arguments. This breaks some ports on FreeBSD 10 because base system iconv.h still has the const qualifier. Fix this by letting USES=iconv add a build dependency on converters/libiconv so ports can use its iconv.h (with LIBICONV_PLUG defined) instead of the base system iconv.h. This exposed some ports that link with libiconv when it is available instead of using libc iconv. In these cases one of the following changes has been made: - patch configure scripts to test for libc iconv first - add ac_cv_lib_iconv_libiconv=no or similar to CONFIGURE_ARGS to disable some configure tests - converters/wkhtmltopdf: this includes Qt4 so add a patch from devel/qt4 - lang/gcc5-aux: respect CFLAGS and friends during configure such that LIBICONV_PLUG is defined in the iconv test, also switch to external gettext - mail/gnarwl: replace patches with CPPFLAGS/LIBS - multimedia/ffmpeg2theora: remove iconv test from SConstruct and use ICONV_LIB in port Makefile instead, also fix a bug in subtitles.c - net-im/licq: finish conversion to cmake - net-mgmt/bandwidthd, net-mgmt/icinga, net-mgmt/nagios, net-mgmt/nagios4: don't need iconv - textproc/p5-XML-TinyXML: finish conversion to USES=perl5 Other changes: - databases/qdbm and slaves: respect CFLAGS and friends, also enable bzip2 and lzo support - games/ldmud: respect CFLAGS and friends - graphics/inventor: replace some patches with MAKE_ARGS/MAKE_ENV to respect CFLAGS and friends, also remove FreeBSD/alpha patch and add missing xorg dependencies PR: 199099 Exp-run by: antoine Approved by: portmgr (antoine)074ea5282a

Support LIBS like LDFLAGS.
- Add LIBS="${LIBS}" to MAKE_ENV and CONFIGURE_ENV.
- Add an option helper for LIBS.
- Adjust all ports that already use LIBS. Also remove references to
PTHREAD_CFLAGS and PTHREAD_LIBS while here.
- Some ports did not support having a LIBS environment variable and
required additional patches.
Somewhat simplified a linker command line looks like:
${CC} ${src_LDFLAGS} ${LDFLAGS} ${src_LIBS} ${LIBS}
where src_LDFLAGS and src_LIBS are controlled by upstream and LDFLAGS and
LIBS can be controlled by us. If possible -L and -l flags need to be
added to LIBS to make sure they appear after any -L and -l flags set by
upstream. Many ports currently add -L${LOCALBASE}/lib to LDFLAGS but this
may appear too early on the command line causing installed libraries to
be linked in instead of freshly built ones.
Additional changes:
benchmarks/netio: Replace WITH_IPV6 with an IPV6 option.
comms/gnokii: Replace some patches with USES=pathfix. Also remove -fPIC.
graphics/gimageview: USES=libtool and install desktop file in DESKTOPDIR.
graphics/visionworkbench: Remove FreeBSD 7 support.
multimedia/libmovtar: New LIB_DEPENDS syntax.
multimedia/opencinematools: Use standard do-build.
net/siproxd: USES=libtool:keepla (port actually needs .la files for plugins)
net-mgmt/nagios: Remove -fPIC.
net-mgmt/nagios4: Remove -fPIC.
print/cups-base: Only add -lssp_nonshared on i386 and OSVERSION < 1000036.
security/p11-kit: Replace PTHREAD_LIBS in CONFIGURE_ENV with
ac_cv_func_pthread_mutexattr_init=no in CONFIGURE_ARGS. This skips a test
in configure that falsely detects pthread_mutexattr_init in our libc.
sysutils/dar: Fix iconv detection.
x11/rxvt-unicode: Remove -lstdc++ and patch configure to remove a FreeBSD
hack and use $CXX as linker as on other platforms.
