Remove WWW entries moved into port Makefiles Commit b7f05445c00f has added WWW entries to port Makefiles based on WWW: lines in pkg-descr files. This commit removes the WWW: lines of moved-over URLs from these pkg-descr files. Approved by: portmgr (tcberner)fb16dfecae
Add WWW entries to port Makefiles It has been common practice to have one or more URLs at the end of the ports' pkg-descr files, one per line and prefixed with "WWW:". These URLs should point at a project website or other relevant resources. Access to these URLs required processing of the pkg-descr files, and they have often become stale over time. If more than one such URL was present in a pkg-descr file, only the first one was tarnsfered into the port INDEX, but for many ports only the last line did contain the port specific URL to further information. There have been several proposals to make a project URL available as a macro in the ports' Makefiles, over time. This commit implements such a proposal and moves one of the WWW: entries of each pkg-descr file into the respective port's Makefile. A heuristic attempts to identify the most relevant URL in case there is more than one WWW: entry in some pkg-descr file. URLs that are not moved into the Makefile are prefixed with "See also:" instead of "WWW:" in the pkg-descr files in order to preserve them. There are 1256 ports that had no WWW: entries in pkg-descr files. These ports will not be touched in this commit. The portlint port has been adjusted to expect a WWW entry in each port Makefile, and to flag any remaining "WWW:" lines in pkg-descr files as deprecated. Approved by: portmgr (tcberner)b7f05445c0

Submitted by: baptd9c2e2cf0bx11-fonts/encodings: run mkfontscale to fix encodings.dir post-install - Since only *.enc.gz files are installed while the encodings.dir file is genareted for directories containing both *.enc and *.enc.gz files, the installed encodings.dir file includes bogus entries for *.enc. - It causes libfontenc to fail to find encoding files, then X to fail to open TrueType fonts with some encodings such as ascii-0 or jisx0208.1990-0. Xorg is now looking in ${LOCALBASE}/share/fonts by default
Xorg now accepts symlinks in etc/X11/fontpath.d (as decribed in Xserver(1))
Large cleanup on lots of font ports
All fonts are now properly dynamically generating fonts.dir and fonts.scale
instead of sometime overwriting existing ones)
All fonts are generating fontconfig's cache
Improve consistency in fonts portsa5da770e67Rework XORG_CAT= font Fonts are now generating the fonts.scale and fonts.dir at install time font-alias is not needed anymore for the above reason extract font-util and encodings out of XORG_CAT=fonts because they do not install any fonts make XORG_CAT=fonts use USES=fonts6bc7b7ce5d
Really bump portrevision. Noticed by: kwmd468eb5b2e
Try to fix font handling for xorg fonts when using staging and pkgng. This should silence all QAT messages about leftover font files. Bump portrevision for all affected ports. Original idea: bapt0406d5b04f
Switch FreeBSD CURRENT to use the new xorg stack (WITH_NEW_XORG=) [0] If the old xorg stack is still needed, it is possible to add WITHOUT_NEW_XORG= to /etc/make.conf to get the old version. Remove; moved to x11-fonts/encodings Approved by: portmgr (implicit)190ec72cf1
- Welcome X.org 7.2 \o/. - Set X11BASE to ${LOCALBASE} for recent ${OSVERSION}. - Bump PORTREVISION for ports intalling files in ${X11BASE}.d4f0d0048aSince fontconfig by default generates font cache files in directories where this port installs encodings, try to remove them upon uninstallation, so removing of directories has a chance to succeed. Just in case some user has for some reason put fonts under these directories, be nice and try to regenerate cache file and remove it again only if it is empty. Also included: - fix for ATI Mobility on Dell Inspiron 7500 (obtained from Marc Aurele La France; obtained and tested by julian) - fix for kbd driver on Sparc64 (tested by Aaron Dudek, Michael G. Update X.Org ports to 6.8.1, and the DRI port to use Mesa 6.2. Because Mesa 6.2 DRI drivers are incompatible with the old libGL in XFree86, they have been repocopied to graphics/xfree86-dri. Also note that with this commit the html manpages are going away, and with it the runtime dependency on perl for the imake port.
