Remove WWW entries moved into port Makefiles Commit b7f05445c00f has added WWW entries to port Makefiles based on WWW: lines in pkg-descr files. This commit removes the WWW: lines of moved-over URLs from these pkg-descr files. Approved by: portmgr (tcberner)fb16dfecae
Add WWW entries to port Makefiles It has been common practice to have one or more URLs at the end of the ports' pkg-descr files, one per line and prefixed with "WWW:". These URLs should point at a project website or other relevant resources. Access to these URLs required processing of the pkg-descr files, and they have often become stale over time. If more than one such URL was present in a pkg-descr file, only the first one was tarnsfered into the port INDEX, but for many ports only the last line did contain the port specific URL to further information. There have been several proposals to make a project URL available as a macro in the ports' Makefiles, over time. This commit implements such a proposal and moves one of the WWW: entries of each pkg-descr file into the respective port's Makefile. A heuristic attempts to identify the most relevant URL in case there is more than one WWW: entry in some pkg-descr file. URLs that are not moved into the Makefile are prefixed with "See also:" instead of "WWW:" in the pkg-descr files in order to preserve them. There are 1256 ports that had no WWW: entries in pkg-descr files. These ports will not be touched in this commit. The portlint port has been adjusted to expect a WWW entry in each port Makefile, and to flag any remaining "WWW:" lines in pkg-descr files as deprecated. Approved by: portmgr (tcberner)b7f05445c0

Bump PORTREVISION for ports depending on the canonical version of GCC in the ports tree (via Mk/bsd.default-versions.mk and lang/gcc) which has now moved from GCC 6 to GCC 7 by default. This includes ports - featuring USE_GCC=yes or USE_GCC=any, - featuring USES=fortran, - using Mk/bsd.octave.mk which in turn features USES=fortran, and those - with USES=compiler specifying one of openmp, nestedfct, c11, c++0x, c++11-lib, c++11-lang, c++14-lang, c++17-lang, or gcc-c++11-lib. PR: 22254209f9633cb6
Convert Python ports to FLAVORS.
Ports using USE_PYTHON=distutils are now flavored. They will
automatically get flavors (py27, py34, py35, py36) depending on what
versions they support.
There is also a USE_PYTHON=flavors for ports that do not use distutils
but need FLAVORS to be set. A USE_PYTHON=noflavors can be set if
using distutils but flavors are not wanted.
A new USE_PYTHON=optsuffix that will add PYTHON_PKGNAMESUFFIX has been
added to cope with Python ports that did not have the Python
PKGNAMEPREFIX but are flavored.
USES=python now also exports a PY_FLAVOR variable that contains the
current python flavor. It can be used in dependency lines when the
port itself is not python flavored. For example, deskutils/calibre.
By default, all the flavors are generated. To only generate flavors
for the versions in PYTHON2_DEFAULT and PYTHON3_DEFAULT, define
BUILD_DEFAULT_PYTHON_FLAVORS in your make.conf.
In all the ports with Python dependencies, the *_DEPENDS entries MUST
end with the flavor so that the framework knows which to build/use.
This is done by appending '@${PY_FLAVOR}' after the origin (or
@${FLAVOR} if in a Python module with Python flavors, as the content
will be the same). For example:
RUN_DEPENDS= ${PYTHON_PKGNAMEPREFIX}six>0:devel/py-six@${PY_FLAVOR}

Most commonly used build systems support silent builds, when they hide actual commands executed and only show short summary line (like "CC foo.c"). CMake and ninja enable this by default, some autotools using ports do as well. This is unacceptable because we need complete build logs at any time, so we now switch to verbose build logs unconditionally. Note that this change deliberately affects ALL Change summary: - Always do verbose builds for cmake, ninja and GNU configure (the latter includes check if --disable-silent-rules is actually supported by the configure script; there are isolated cases when it's not true) - Remove CMAKE_VERBOSE, NINJA_VERBOSE and CONFIGURE_ARGS=--disable-silent-rules from all ports which set them for this is no longer needed - Revert hacks for --disable-silent-rules support priorly committed to biology/ncbi-blast+ and net-p2p/mldonkey - no longer needed as well Submitted by: amdmi3 Reviewed by: mat Exp-run by: antoine Approved by: portmgr (mat, antoine) Differential Revision: D753430a00f2227

- Convert ports from korean/, shells/, x11/, x11-clocks/, x11-fm/, x11-fonts/, x11-toolkits and x11-wm to new USES=python Approved by: portmgr (implicit)a5f9cc91c2
- Set CPPFLAGS and LIBS in a number of ports so configure can find libintl.h and libintl.so. This fixes a problem where DATADIRNAME gets an incorrect value which causes locale files to be installed in the wrong place. - The only configure checks that still need to be patched are related to intltool so move DATADIRNAME patching from USES=pathfix to USE_GNOME=intlhack. - games/klavaro: remove excessive dependencies - japanese/libskk: add INSTALL_TARGET=install-strip - math/libqalculate: add INSTALL_TARGET=install-strip and remove pthread patching - multimedia/freetuxtv: remove excessive dependencies - science/gramps: fix shared-mime-info use Exp-run by: antoine Approved by: portmgr (antoine)a6d2f30533
Add USES=libtool to accessibility/atkmm and bump dependent ports796095d541
- Update to 1.10.1 PR: 190906 Submitted by: ports fury61f6fcd5fc
Support LIBS like LDFLAGS.
- Add LIBS="${LIBS}" to MAKE_ENV and CONFIGURE_ENV.
- Add an option helper for LIBS.
- Adjust all ports that already use LIBS. Also remove references to
PTHREAD_CFLAGS and PTHREAD_LIBS while here.
- Some ports did not support having a LIBS environment variable and
required additional patches.
Somewhat simplified a linker command line looks like:
${CC} ${src_LDFLAGS} ${LDFLAGS} ${src_LIBS} ${LIBS}
where src_LDFLAGS and src_LIBS are controlled by upstream and LDFLAGS and
LIBS can be controlled by us. If possible -L and -l flags need to be
added to LIBS to make sure they appear after any -L and -l flags set by
upstream. Many ports currently add -L${LOCALBASE}/lib to LDFLAGS but this
may appear too early on the command line causing installed libraries to
be linked in instead of freshly built ones.
Additional changes:
benchmarks/netio: Replace WITH_IPV6 with an IPV6 option.
comms/gnokii: Replace some patches with USES=pathfix. Also remove -fPIC.
graphics/gimageview: USES=libtool and install desktop file in DESKTOPDIR.
graphics/visionworkbench: Remove FreeBSD 7 support.
multimedia/libmovtar: New LIB_DEPENDS syntax.
multimedia/opencinematools: Use standard do-build.
net/siproxd: USES=libtool:keepla (port actually needs .la files for plugins)
net-mgmt/nagios: Remove -fPIC.
net-mgmt/nagios4: Remove -fPIC.
print/cups-base: Only add -lssp_nonshared on i386 and OSVERSION < 1000036.
security/p11-kit: Replace PTHREAD_LIBS in CONFIGURE_ENV with
ac_cv_func_pthread_mutexattr_init=no in CONFIGURE_ARGS. This skips a test
in configure that falsely detects pthread_mutexattr_init in our libc.
sysutils/dar: Fix iconv detection.
x11/rxvt-unicode: Remove -lstdc++ and patch configure to remove a FreeBSD
hack and use $CXX as linker as on other platforms.
