Typo fix for pkg-descr.3d73ea64de
Remove indefinite articles and trailing periods from COMMENT, plus minor COMMENT typos and surrounding whitespace fixes. A few Makefiles where not included as they contain Latin-1 characters that break the Phabricator workflow. Category M. CR: D306 Approved by: portmgr (bapt)168f57451a
The FreeBSD x11@ and graphics team proudly presents a zeising, kwm production, with help from dumbbell, bdrewery: NEW XORG ON FREEBSD 9-STABLE AND 10-STABLE This update switches over to use the new xorg stack by default on FreeBSD 9 and 10 stable, on osversions where vt(9) is available. It is still possible to use the old stack by specifying WITHOUT_NEW_XORG in /etc/make.conf . FreeBSD 8-STABLE and released versions of FreeBSD still use the old version. A package repository with binary packages for new xorg will be available soon. This patch also contains updates of libxcb and related ports, pixman, as well as some drivers and utilities. Bump portrevisions for xf86-* ports, as well as virtualbox-ose-additions due to xserver version change. Apart from these updates, the way shared libraries are handled has been changed for all xorg ports, as well as libxml2 and freetype, which means ltverhack is gone and as a consequence shared libraries have been bumped. The plan is that this change will make library bumps less likely in the future. All affected ports have had their portrevisions bumped as a consequence of this. Fix some issues where WITH_NEW_XORG weren't detected properly on CURRENT. Update instructions, hardware support, and more notes can be found on https://wiki.freebsd.org/Graphics Thanks to: all testers, bdrewery and the FreeBSD x11@ team exp-run by: bdrewery [1] PR: ports/187602 [1] Approved by: portmgr (bdrewery), core (jhb)39fc32e828

For ports maintained by ports@FreeBSD.org, remove names and/or e-mail addresses from the pkg-descr file that could reasonably be mistaken for maintainer contact information in order to avoid confusion on the part of users looking for support. As a pleasant side effect this also avoids confusion and/or frustration for people who are no longer maintaining those ports.2fadfa2cfb
Convert most of remaining ports that depend on xorg-libraries to modular xorg. - supply corresponding USE_XORG for all imake-using ports that need it - USE_IMAKE no longer implies USE_XLIB in absence of USE_XORG - retire USE_X_PREFIX which is not really used anywhere after the above change - a few minor nits like whitespace and SF macro Tested by: 2 tinderbox runs by pav Approved by: portmgr (pav)33e3d901d4

Compress a bunch of manpages. Remove unnecessary @ directives from PLISTs. Note: I know that this is going to break some symlinks and/or .so includes, I will back some of these out as I run into these during package building.c98cfd116d

Add a few CATEGORIES lines to take these ports out of `orphans'. Seeing your port in the orphans directory is pretty good indication that it doesn't have a categories line! :-)caedea32b1
